What is the identity of a place? What defines in spatial terms the identity of a landscape and the human settlement in the landscape? What are the typological and morphological features that persist and those that vary? Where and what are the continuity of the signs, shapes and morphologies, syntaxes, structures and materials? These questions represent some of the roots that have informed and guided the project. Much of the proposal is morphological and bioclimatic looking to try to understand the deep relations systems between the materials and typical structures of the Sappada valley and understand how to go ahead building in continuity with these principles.
