Villa KB in Valpolicella | 2009
The special design of Villa KB interior (and exterior spaces) was born from the uniqueness of the local Valpolicella and the taste of the Russian customers. The wide collection of traditional paintings has been placed on the walls and in the niches specially designed in the large rooms, which open the view on the beautiful surrounding landscape. A complex interplay of lights embedded in the ceiling makes the space modular and at the same time very spectacular: the light becomes a design element in a continuous interweaving of lines and bright colored walls. From the living branches off a “sculpture” of vertical profiles in wrought iron which connects the three floors of the house and becomes the railing for the staircase. The research of quality materials and the accuracy in details make the bathrooms become little jewelry where the mosaics walls seem embroidered with natural elements. Prun stone, bas-reliefs in marble, wood and local green make up the external spaces and draw architectural geometries and furnishings.
